Is shophunk contest fraud or legit?
« on: November 21, 2013, 02:12:47 PM »
Today I got a mail to my id from shophunk stating that I won a chance to get free Galaxy Note 3, Samsung S4 and iPhone 5. So went to that link and they asked me to pay Rs.899 to get the chance of wining the Galaxy Note 3.

Can I pay this amount and try it out? or is this site a fraud? Have anyone tried this before?

They climb some names as winners as well. Are they real life characters?

I can understand how tempting that will for us to buy Samsung Galaxy Note II fro just Rs.899 :)

There is something more which we need to analyze before being a victim. The best way to find out is to use our friend Google. He will tell us all. Just few points which shows that we should not try out this site as follows,

-> tell us that this site is only 10% trustable -> The main reason being the location and site owner details are completely hidden. Why would a good company running legal should do that? Makes sense now?

-> There are several blogs in Google which says out clearly the views of other victims there are many got cheated by paying the money which was shown as the so called contest. It's clear that we should not step in to some sites which already has a bad reputation and feedbacks. I am not saying that website can have only good comments but what matters more is if the % of negative feedback is more when searching on google then it's better to step out from that site and is just one among them.

-> Winners list link is mentioned but why not a FB link to the user who won? Sure, we will come to know that it's fake if they give a fake FB link as well!!

-> Giving away a 40K+ phone for Rs.899 sounds fake to itself. Never try these type of offers and contest anywhere it just the business tricks which people use for marketing when there are people like us who can be cheated.

-> If you get through any consumer issues, just try to follow the steps mentioned from this link -;article=1. Lets practice our consumer rights!!
