an you tell me itís need and working?

I am starting over with Android Programming, when I created a project I came across certain xml files getting created automatically, in which Strings.xml is one of them. What does it used for?

Can you give me some details about it?

Strings.xml file which is present in the Android project is nothing but contains all the text which will be used in the application which means the name of the buttons, labels, default text etc goes into the Strings.xml file.

To make it clear a small example as below,

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<resources>
<string name="hi">Hi, How are you!</string>
<string name="app_title">Strings Check!!!</string>
</resources>

As you said there are many xml files which are for separate processing as like Layout XML file is responsible for the widget layout the Strings XML file handles the textural content of the application.
