Cannot start Microsoft Office Outlook. Cannot open the Outlook window. The set of folders cannot be opened. Errors have been detected in the file <pst file location>. Quit Outlook and all mail-enabled applications and then use the Inbox repair tool (Scanpast.exe) to diagnose and repair errors in the file. For more information about the inbox repair tool, see Help.

Where to find this tool and fix this issue now? I have all important mails in my account and I have no idea what needs to be done for this issue?  :'(

No worries! This problem use to come up if you have not properly shutdown your system by closing the Microsoft Outlook application, as the error prompt says to run the scanpst tool it should help us to resolve the problem. Just follow the below mentioned steps,

STEP 1: Go to the installation directory of your Microsoft Office which will be in by default C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office12.

STEP 2: Search for the file named "scanpst.exe" -> Open the file.

STEP 3: Now select the button browse -> Select the pst file which showed as the error.

STEP 4: Click on the button "Start" and sit back for sometime as it will take minimum 30mins to finish up the repairing process where you will get the report.

STEP 5: The prompt will ask for you to backup the .pst file before starting the repair process with it. Give in the backup file path and then select Repair.

STEP 5: Once you get the success message, open up the microsoft outlook which should work now without any issues.

Note: If any error you get in the middle, just cancel the process and re-open the scanpst.exe and start the repair again.

Screens for reference,
