Got the new Samsung Galaxy Y for my personal use and now wanted to sync it with my system, so I have installed the Kies application in my system and now when I connect my Galaxy Y to the system it just crashes the whole Kies application while startup. What should be done for this problem?

This problem actually happens because of the issue with the .Net Framework which is installed in your system and not with your Samsung Galaxy Y connection with Kies application. Now to fix this problem follow the steps given below,

STEP 1: Go to the Kies installation directory in C:\Program Files\Samsung.

STEP 2: Now from there search for the files “*.config” which will show all the config files from the folder.

STEP 3: Now Edit all the config files which are shown in the search result like below,

<startup useLegacyV2RuntimeActivationPolicy="true">
        <supportedRuntime version="v2.0.50727" />
</startup>

STEP 4: You will be seeing the supportedRuntime version as v4.0 just remove that and replace like above.

STEP 5:
Now try to start your Kies application again which should work without any problem now.
