Is there any push upgrade done for it to overcome the problem? or they are just going to provide the patch in the next Kindle Touch version?

I am planning to buy the new Kindle Touch but now I am kinda worried about the Security Flaw which was reported for the Kindle Touch recently. Can you tell me is there any push upgrade going to be done for it to overcome the problem? or they are going to provide the patch only in the next Kindle Touch version? Can you tell me how Amazon is going to handle this problem?

Yes, there was a security follow found out in Kindle Touch 5.1.0 which is long long back.. which was about remotely exploiting security vulnerability in Amazon's Kindle Touch and already a patch was giving for the users via manual install as it cannot be pushed from Amazon.

So right now there is 5.3.7 version out for Amazon Kindle Touch and it's already there for your download. Just follow the below mentioned steps to get installed in yours now,

STEP 1: http://goo.gl/itpRd9 - Download the 5.3.7 software update from the link.

STEP 2: Turn on your Kindle and connect to the computer where you have downloaded the software and transfer the file to your Kindle. (Note: Copy directly to the drive and do not put the downloaded file inside folders)

STEP 3: Once the transfer is done. Go to Home -> Menu -> Settings.

STEP 4: Select the Menu icon -> Select Update your Kindle.

STEP 5: Select Ok and wait for the update to be completed.
